Jan. 25-26: The Huskies finished the weekend with a 4-1 victory over
the PAC8 1st Place Oregon Ducks after a 5-3 loss against the Ducks on Friday night. UW Goalie Shane Kanady
had a great game on Saturday and played a key role in the win. UW is currently in 4th
Place, and only one point behind 3rd Place USC in the PAC8 standings.
Jan. 9-12, 2008: On the first game back from holiday break, lost to
WSU 5-3 late Wednesday night after a sluggish performance. On Thursday, the Dawgs came back with a
vengence and beat the Cougs, 10-4.
On Saturday, the Dawgs matched up with University of Texas for the first time. It was a hard-fought game.
Texas lead 1-0 for most of the game and both teams battled with great determination. The goalies made great
saves, and both teams had a rowdy crowd in attendence. After an empty net goal late in the third period,
Texas won 3-0 in an exciting game that would make any hockey fan proud.
Nov. 30- Dec.1: The Huskies lost 2 disappointing games in the I-5 Cup
matchup against the Oregon Ducks in Eugene. The Ducks won the first game 4-1 and the second 9-3.
Both teams will meet again on Jan 25th and 26th in Seattle, giving the Huskies a chance to redeem
themselves and break even in this 4-game competition.
November 16-17: The Huskies continue to gain momentum with
a two-game sweep of the Gonzaga Bulldogs, 8-3 and 10-4.
November 8-10: The Huskies sweep the weekend with a win against
Walla Walla and two wins against Western University, bringing their record to 10-2 in the ACHA and 4-0 in
the PAC8. Go Dawgs!
November 2-3: WSU cancelled both games this weekend. The Huskies
will use this time to heal from injuries received over the last few weeks.
October 25-27: The 6-0 Huskies traveled to TriCities to take on Walla
Walla University, winning 11-5. Next stop was Spokane to face the Eastern Washington Eagles, rated 3rd in the
ACHA. The Dawgs lost two games against Eastern, 9-2 and 9-0.
October 19: The DAWGS played an exhibition game against Trinity
Western in Vancouver, Canada. The UW was defeated, 9-4, in a very exciting game.
October 11-14: The Huskies traveled to California to take on Stanford
and were short-handed by 5 players due to school commitments.
After starting out sluggish the Huskies trailed Stanford, 6-3, with six minutes to go in the game. The Huskies
scored three straight goals in the remaining minutes to send the game to overtime. One minute into the overtime
period, captain Robbie Maxwell scored his fourth goal of the game and the DAWGS stunned the Cardinals
with a 7-6 OT win.
The DAWGS kept their winning play alive on October 12th and 13th beating the CAL Bears by final scores
of 9-3 and 8-2, and closed out the 4-game road trip on October 14th, beating Stanford, 12-3.
