| The
American Collegiate Hockey
Association (ACHA) Division II announced
that Senior Captain Brett Lawrence
earned First Team All Regional Honors
for the 2003 – 2004 season. Lawrence
finished off the season with:
29 games, 36 goals, 33 assists, 69
points and 4 minutes in penalties
He also received his fourth consecutive
First Team All PAC 8 honors as the top
vote receiver in the conference.
Brett Lawrence served as team captain
for his third year, and team president,
leading the Huskies in points and game-
winning goals. Getting almost as many
assists as goals, Lawrence also had 5 short-handed goals and 7
shorthanded assists, a testament to his unselfish play. He was
permanent fixture on the power play and short-handed units, with
impressive low numbers in goals-against when playing short. Lawrence
has a four-year stats total of:
117 games, 138 goals, 136 assists, 274 points and
34 minutes in
penalties.
He is on record for being the all-time points leader
for Husky Hockey and
has earned the following accolades:
- 2000-2004: 4 consecutive years of First Team All-PAC
8– Forward
- 2003-2004: ACHA DII-West Region First Team
- 2001-2002: ACHA DII-West Region First Team
- 2001-2002: ACHA DII-West Region Player of the Year
- 2001-2002: ACHA Division II All-American
- 2002-2004: Team Captain – 3 years
- 2001-2002: Team Assistant Captain – 1 year
- Team Treasurer 1 year; Team Vice President 1 year; Team President
1 year
- 2002: Invited to ACHA World University Games team tryout
Brett will receive a BA in June 2004 in Accounting,
where he has over a
3.5 GPA in his major. He has made Dean’s List three consecutive
quarters,
and is a member of National Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Fraternity since
Winter 2003. Brett also placed 3rd in the Deloitte 2004 Case Competition
and attended Ernst & Young Learning and Leadership Program, Irvine
Office, July 2003. He is a volunteered for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax
Assistance) helping the elderly and underprivileged file tax returns and
tutored beginning accounting students through Beta Alpha Psi’s tutoring
program. Brett also works part-time year-around at the UPS Store in
Edmonds, Washington.
