The Ice Hockey Club program at the
University of Washington is currently searching for supporting sponsors
for the 2001-2002 team, which starts in October of 2001 and runs through
February of 2002. Each year we have exposure to 4,000 to 10,000 people
over 20 home games. These dedicated fans tend to be college-age students
and hockey families with their children. If you are a company that might
benefit from reaching our fan-base by advertising with us, please note the
advertising packages we have put together, which are below.
Husky Hockey is in Division II of
the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and is a member of the
PAC-8 conference, playing such teams as UCLA, USC, CAL, Stanford,
Washington State, University of Oregon, Western Washington, Montana,
Idaho, Weber, Colorado, among others. The Husky Hockey club is one of the
oldest and most distinguished club organizations at the University of
Washington. For thirty years student-athletes have taken the ice in
competition against teams in the Pacific Northwest and on the West Coast.
In the past five years, the Husky Hockey program has made great efforts to
advance the level of competition it takes part in. At this point the
Huskies played a key role in the formation of the PAC-8 conference. The
organization has attempted to produce a more competitive team by joining
the national ACHA league, which includes over 150 teams across the nation,
which vie for a national championship title.
Below are proposed advertising
packages for you to look at, but feel free to be creative in designing an
advertising package of your own should you make a decision to become a
sponsor of the organization. In the 1999-2000 season our main sponsor was KISS 106.1
FM. Their use of Husky Hockey advertising effectively tapped them into the
school's student body as well as the local hockey community for
substantial exposure.
