Game #2 Report – Saturday Nov. 10th:
Huskies 9, WSU 2
In the second game against WSU the

who put it past the tender. At 1:22, Shaun Lawrence passed the puck to
Marty Boyd who stepped over the WSU blue line, took a slap shot and
founder the upper right corner, knocking the water bottle off the net. The

goalie on the blocker side. Then at 1:54 Matt Carlson jetted down the
right side and into the WSU zone, dished the puck to Shaun Lawrence who
popped the puck over the goalie’s glove side. And finally, with 8.1
seconds to go, Sean Beveridge took a slap shot from the point, which was
tipped in by Brian Mead. The period ended with the UW leading 6-0. The
Huskies out shot WSU 19 to 4 and took 2 minutes in penalties to WSU’s 6
minutes in the box.
The third period was full of penalties for each team. At 18:06 Brett
Lawrence flew down the right side and his wrist shot found the upper right
corner. Then at 10:19, on a power play, Eric Sato scored his first goal as
a Husky, when his slap shot found the goalie’s five-hole. At 9:04 WSU went
on a 5-on-3 advantage but the Huskies managed to kill it. WSU then scored
a power play goal on a screen shot at 5:01. And they scored again at 3:41
