Huskies Place on All
PAC-8 Teams

(San Jose, CA) -- Forward Brett
Lawrence, defenseman Brian Smith and goaltender Scott Southard
from the ice hockey team at the University of Washington receive
First Team All PAC-8 Conference honors at the 2002
Intercollegiate Pac-8 Ice Hockey Conference Banquet. The Huskies
take three out of the six spots on the First Team, as well as
three out of the six spots for the All Pac-8 Honorable Mention
list.
Sophomore Brett Lawrence was named to the First All Pac-8 Team
as a forward with a record-breaking year of 17 goals, 10 assists
for a total of 27 points in 17 Pac-8 games. He also tallied 4
penalty minutes. Senior Brian Smith was named to the First All
Pac-8 Team defensive squad list with 1 goal, 7 assists, 8
points, 10 penalty minutes in 17 Pac-8 games. Also placing on
the First All Pac-8 Team was senior goalie Scott Southard. He
played 16 Pac-8 games with over 900 minutes of ice, and had a
GAA of 1.933 and a Save Percentage of 93.14%.
